The Parents Behind Apparent
If you’ve read our mission or seen our mission video, you’ll know that we really are an insurance company designed by parents, for parents. And it’s not just like, “Oh, our CEO has a kid or two, so, you know, done!” Not at all.
Instead, from day one, we have sought out parents of all life stages, backgrounds, and family structures to be on an advisory panel, “The Parents Behind Apparent.” These moms and dads and grandparents have given us insight into the ways an insurance company should treat its customers. They’ve dreamed up benefits like the at-home mechanic service and helped test out different teen driving apps until we found the best. They weighed in on everything from the name of the company to the imagery on the website to the way we should talk to our customers on the phone. They’re parents, so they gave us some much needed straight talk!
And guess what…they’re still going. We have continuous conversation with our parents. They vote on new offerings and give us constant feedback on what we’re doing well and what we can be doing better. They also give us lots of practical tips, like how to keep little ones entertained on a road trip or how to get a teen driver to start saving their own car.
